I've tried to adhere to WCAG 2.2 as best as I understand it. As there aren't many fully accessible themes or menu plugins, I have tried to create my own following the accessibility guidelines.
As part of the website build, I've tested it with NVDA screen reader to try and make sure it is compatible with assistive technologies. There's a lot I haven't been able to test and with that being said, if you have difficulty using the site or feel like there's some changes I could make to help with accessibility, please email hello@callowexplorer.com.
Please note that I am not a web developer, nor a professional coder. I continue to learn about ARIA labels and other ways to make websites more accessible.
The website contains a menu bar that allows you to change background colour, font colour and heading colour. You can also choose your own font style and modify text sixe, line height, line spacing and work spacing. Images contain ARIA labels for screen readers plus alt text and expandable box with the description and a button to play an audio recording of the descriptions. You can move between images with the tab key and once an image has been selected, you can use the arrow keys to move between the enlarged images.
Thank you.
